We, Hermine Schenkel and Yesim Dinsel, run our hotel with a lot of love. Our enthusiasm has accompanied us from the beginning of our work life. And we complement each other perfectly: Ms. Dinsel is emotional and spontaneous, and I, as the older member of the team, am calm and relaxed. Together, we are the heart and soul of the Dürer Hotel.

I, Hermine Schenkel, come originally from Carinthia and it was in Austria that I turned my passion for the hotel business into a career. My long-time dream of my own hotel in which I am "the host" came true in 2008. At the foot of the Imperial Castle, next to the Albrecht Dürer House, Tiergärtnertor Square and just minutes away from the main market square is the Dürer Hotel, our private and personal hotel. We are very happy to be located at one of the most beautiful places in Nuremberg. As a next-door neighbor to Albrecht Dürer, we love to be your host.

We like the special atmosphere of our neighborhood, which blends history, art and tradition. And more: a relaxed meeting place right in front of our door, secret peaceful places and the finest artistry in the nearby shops.

This garden is a little hidden, but is just around the corner from the hotel. It seems fairy-tale like; almost enchanted. The old stone gate, statues, benches and staircase frame the winding path through the garden. When the sun is shining and everything is in bloom, it is the best place to take a break and gather your strength.

The Dürer Hotel, located at the Tiergärtnertorplatz, the most beautiful square in Nuremberg, a few steps away from the much visited Albrecht-Dürer-House. In the heart of the historic Old Town of Nuremberg, directly underneath the Imperial Castle. The ideal starting point for culture, history and pleasure.

Our 102 rooms equipped with bathroom/shower, WC, hairdreyer, large desk, telephone, LCD television, W-Lan (free of charge), safe and minibar. Parking in our garage is EUR 15,00 per car/night possible.

Our small sauna, steam bath, treadmill, ergometer and rowing machine is every day available. The central feature is the hotel's own Mediterranean garden, an oasis at the heart of the Old Town. Round off the day with a drink in our hotel bar.
