"Koch und Kellner" has existed since July 1997 - the philosophy of the restaurant is best described as: Just enjoy! We offer original cusine and matching wines. This seemingly simple idea has been enthusiastically embraced by guests. Full of light, the restaurant exudes at atmosphere of summer enjoyment even in the darkest winter. The furnishings are stylish, but here is still a relaxed atmosphere.

In addition to the restaurant, there is also a wine trading business: "Koch und Kellner's Keller". This has evolved to answer the needs of guests who like to drink the good wines they experience dining at the restaurant. More and more satisfied customers asked Frank Mackert if they could order one or another wine from him. That's how he came to the idea of opening hos own wine business.

The specially selected wines come primarily from Germany. In addition to wines from the Mosel-Saar-Ruwer area, there are especially good vintages from the Nahe, Rhine-Hessen, the Rheingau, the Palatinate and Baden. He also imports wines from Spain.

The restaurant was awarded a Michelin star and two black toques by Gault-Millau. In 2024, Feinschmecker magazine named the restaurant one of the best 500 restaurants in Germany and awarded it 3 out of 5 points for excellent cuisine, very good service as well as remarkable ambience and comfort.
