The nostalgic theatre rote Bühne (red stage) is located on the premises of the former Bing tin toy factory and is furnished in the style of the 1920s. Red carpets, curtains and walls gave the 110-seat independent theatre, which was founded in 2006 by the actress, dancer and singer Julia Kempken, its name. It is located around 2 km east of the main railway station, is easily accessible by bus or S-Bahn and offers free parking.
The repertoire of in-house productions includes revues, comedies, docu-fiction theatre, concerts and swing dance evenings. There are also guest performances by well-known cabaret artists, singing ensembles and comedians.
