At the Schäufelewärtschaft in the southern part of the Old Town, you'll experience Franconian hospitality and region cuisine at the same time. As the name says, Schäufele bone-in pork shoulder - is the specialty of the house. Around 400 Schäufele are eaten here each week. Schäufele is also available in a "ladies" portion, in case you are not so hungry. Naturally we serve other regional and vegetarian dishes as well as a daily fresh lunch special.
