How would you describe Nuremberg in three words?

historic - cosmopolitan - underestimated

In you opinion, which culinary specialties does Nuremberg have that you can't find in other cities of its type?

In gastronomy: We are world class!
Nuremberg has a century-long food culture with traditional delicacies that are known throughout the world and have created their own standards. The innovative spirit of Nuremberg region is also reflected in its gastronomy and the fusion of tradition and "trust yourself" leads to culinary delights which can compete with the best metropolises in the world. Nuremberg is often underestimated. The fact is - the gastronomic variety and quality in Nuremberg is, in my opinion, some of the best in Germany - and all that at a fair price.

What personal dining tip would you give a tourist who is coming to Nuremberg? Is there something a visitor must try?

Trust yourself and you'll be rewarded! Off the beaten path you'll find traditional restaurants that have stood up to franchises for years.

My personal recommendations:

GUSTO NATURAL - Steak from Uruguay prepared on a beech-wood grill
KOKORO - Modern interpretations of Japanese cuisine
