The Imperial Castle in the Course of Time

The Imperial Castle is a testimony in stone to the medieval power of emperors and kings, residing there during their stays in Nuremberg.

The guided tour will show you the architectural and cultural history of the massive city walls and the extensive castle complex. In the castle you will visit the Palas, the double chapel, the Deep Well, the Sinwell Tower as well as the Bower (Castle Museum).

Additional costs: 6 € p. P. (Entrance fee) Persons under the age of 18 are free of charge.

Please notice the opening hours of the Imperial Castle:

April - September: daily 9 am - 6 pm
October - March: daily 10 am - 4 pm

Closed: New Year, Shrove Tuesday, December 24, 25 and 31

Last entrance: 1 hour before closing time
