After checking in at your hotel, your 24-hour break in Nuremberg begins in the afternoon with an exciting shopping tour. Time for a break? Then head to Café Egg’La in Färberstraße. There you can choose from a selection of Korean toasties with fluffy scrambled egg fillings. We particularly recommend the Avo Holic with cheddar and avocado slices or the Salmonegg with smoked salmon, together with a freshly squeezed orange juice.
Refreshed, you continue to the Historic Rock-Cut Cellars, which were created as beer cellars in the Middle Ages and extend over more than 20,000 square metres. Beneath the Imperial Castle, this labyrinth carved out of sandstone forms the largest ensemble of rock-cut cellars in southern Germany. After a visit, you can try traditional Nuremberg Rotbier (red beer) at the Hausbrauerei Altstadthof .
Next, head to the hip café-restaurant “Zeit und Raum” right on the Pegnitz. Popular with locals and visitors alike, this venue is known for its delicious vegetarian and vegan dishes made with fresh, regional ingredients. If you fancy a drink afterwards, the Café-Bar “Katz” on Hans-Sachs-Platz awaits you just a few steps away. This charming meeting place offers a wide selection of drinks in a cosy atmosphere. Round off the evening in a relaxed way with an Aperol Spritz or a glass of wine.
To round off your stay, after a hearty breakfast at your hotel, a visit to the Museum of the Future – Deutsches Museum Nürnberg is on the programme. Here you have recently been greeted by AMECA, one of the most advanced humanoid robots in the world, and can interact with it.
