The matching app shows the sights from an augmented reality perspective in a unique way. This makes the cycle tour an absolute experience. The Hohenzollern Cycle Route has been around for some time, but previously only stretched from Langenzenn to Windsbach. It has now been extended to almost 100 kilometres and leads from Nuremberg to Ansbach past various sights that are reminiscent of the Hohenzollern dynasty. They ruled Franconia and Brandenburg 600 years ago.
Virtual experience with the smartphone app accompanying the cycle path
History comes alive and can be experienced in the newly designed Hohenzollern Cycle Route app. "Augmented reality" is the name of the technology that accompanies cyclists along the route.
At all of the main sights along the route, you can use your smartphone to take a look at the history and behind the facades of the buildings.
In Roßtal, for example, every building element of the historic St Laurentius Church can be viewed in a 3-dimensional model. In Heilsbronn Minster, on the other hand, an animated knight surprises visitors with his skills.
This special app makes the invisible visible and brings the past to life in an astonishing way.
