Markets

As befits a trading city rich in tradition, the market is always open in Nuremberg. As well as the daily farmers' market, the Easter market is held on the central market square, along with the Autumn market and of course, the Christmas market.

A very special highlight for visitors from near and far is the Trempelmarkt that takes place twice a year in Nuremberg's city centre, the biggest and best flea-market in Germany.

Nürnberger Altstadtfest (Old Town Festival Nuremberg)

September 17 - October 3, 2027

Exclusive to Nuremberg: Germany’s largest and nicest Old Town Festival! It features more than 60 free-of-charge events, including the traditional fishermen’s joust on the River Pegnitz, a wide variety of folklore programs and many musical events as well as the popular Hans-Sachs-Spiele theatre program.
