The Free State of Bavaria and the Czech Republic will commemorate the 700th birthday of Emperor Charles IV with a joint state exhibition accompanied by an international program of events. The Bohemian and Roman-German King Charles IV (1316 - 1378), crowned emperor of the Holy Roman Empire in 1355 in Rome, is one of the moste significant and multifaceted rulers in European history.
