Yoga is an important balance to my daily work. I start every day with a salute to the sun and my yoga mat is always within reach. I sometimes like to practice on the green space of the Wöhrd Meadow near the Wöhrd Lake, which is right in front of the door of our Hotel Prinzregent. Time spent enjoying nature and the peace it brings is very relaxing for me. For the last three years yoga has given me time to reflect during the stress of the day and to focus on things that are truly important.
I also like to go jogging and bicycling. Many of my guests also enjoy these active hobbies. That's why we always have free-of-charge bikes on hand so they can explore our beautiful Nuremberg on two wheels ... because the city with all its amenities like culture, shopping, restaurants and bars is just around the corner from our green paradise.
Our hotel is located on Prinzregentenufer: Lined with a row of plane trees, it is one of the grandest streets in Nuremberg. We are located in a glamourous art nouveau building, built in the early 1900s and owned by the family since the 1950s. I took over the hotel by chance from my mother-in-law. Although I didn't grow up in the hotel business, I am thankful today that I have chosen this job - I can't imagine anything nicer.
I enjoy my contact with guests, the creative freedom I enjoy in our private hotel and working together with my team. It's important to me that my co-workers like to come to work and enjoy it. That fits with my philosophy of life. That's also why we always try to create the best working conditions. Because my children - a four and eight year old - are often in the hotel, there's a real family feeling at work. We're a great team and guests can see that!
