The attraction in terms of celebrations in Fürth is Germany's largest fair on the streets - the Michaelis-Kirchweih - which unites funfair and colourful market events. In 2018, the festival has been recorded as intangible cultural heritage in the German directory.

Queen of the Franconian Fairs

The Michaelis-Kirchweih in October, the "Queen of Franconian Fairs", has been attracting people from far and wide for almost 900 years. This street festival, with its charming mixture of market and funfair, is considered the largest and most beautiful of its kind in Germany. The highlight will be the thanksgiving parade on the last Sunday, which will be broadcasted live on Bayerisches Fernsehen.
