"The World at Play - 40 Years of PLAYMOBIL"

April 10 to October 19, 2014

Playmobil is a classic for all ages. Since 1974, the friendly little figures – which are created in the Nuremberg area – are a must-have feature of every child’s room. There are many reasons for their continuing success: The design of these little plastic toys reduces their features to the bare essentials, making them appealing to generations of children.

A special exhibit in the Toy Museum shows examples from four decades of Playmobil history. It depicts how the "classic" toy worlds created by the company have changed over time and why, when and which new environments were created. Discover knights, princesses, farms and much more from Playmobil.

The presentation will be rounded off by a look at the creation and production of Playmobil toys and adults’ creative use of the hit product Playmobil. Let yourself be a kid again!

Dates: April 10 to October 19, 2014

Place: Toy Museum Nuremberg
