The Long Night of Sciences

October 21, 2017

The Long Night of Sciences in Nuremberg, Fürth and Erlangen: Come, be amazed and learn! For the eighth time, universities, research centers, companies, laboratories, ateliers and workshops invite you to experience the largest science festival in Germany.

Whether it’s production of circuit boards, an introduction to Chinese or a look at the basics of food quality testing – from astronomy to medieval studies, neurology to zoology – it’s all here.

In the afternoon, young researchers are on center stage! In a children’s program from 2 to 5 pm, answers to tricky questions are at the fore: How does our climate function? How do you make an invisible fire extinguisher? What does a teddy bear do in the TÜV laboratory? Why can geckos walk on the ceiling? Guided by real scientists and researchers, children and young people can experiment and find their own answers to these questions.

As always, the various venues are connected by dedicated bus lines. More than 50 buses will shuttle visitors safely and comfortably through the night.

Date: October 21, 2017, 6:00 pm to 1:00 am (Children’s program 2:00 to 5:00 pm)

Place: Various institutions in Nuremberg, Fürth and Erlangen
