Although Catholic in character it is open for all, regardless of church or religious affiliation. Spiritual celebrations focus on life's turning points and crisis situations.

The convent building was demolished in 1899, the church partially destroyed during a bomb attack on March 16, 1945. Reconstructed from 1948-1953 and rebuilt in 2007.
